How to Apply JILIEASE

Before applying JILIEASE, vacuum any surfaces thoroughly & remove any existing stains. If you are applying to clothes or shoes, clean in cold water only to remove any traces of detergents or softeners. Be sure to remove any cleaning products prior to application.

How to apply JILIEASE:

  1. Check your fabric: Shake well and apply to a small test area for colour fastness. Not all textiles are colourfast.
  2. Spray away: Spray an even layer from 6in in a back & forth motion so that textile becomes moist.
  3. Wait for it: Allow a minimum of 12 hours for coating to cure. In temperatures below 64°C allow up to 24 hours.

• 4. Test for coverage: By spraying a little water on the textile. Small beads should form on the surface. If not, additional application may be required.

How Much Product Should I Apply?

For most standard upholstery and fabric surfaces, we recommend using about 3.3 fl oz of JILIEASE fabric protector per 10 sq ft of surface area, per coat.

It does not need to be exact. The key is to apply enough product so the fabric is evenly damp and fully covered.

Please note: Do not saturate leather, suede, or velvet. For these delicate materials, apply a light, even spray, then gently buff the product into the fibers using a soft, clean cloth.

For larger areas, we recommend using our battery sprayer. It helps provide a more even application and reduces hand and wrist fatigue.

When Is a Second Coat Needed?

Some fabrics may require a second coat for best protection. If needed, apply an additional 3.3 fl oz per 10 sq ft within 30 minutes of the first application.

A second coat may be recommended for:

Heavy or thick fabrics, such as heavyweight linen, because they absorb more product

Textured or visibly woven fabrics

Rugs and carpets, especially shag or long-pile styles

Outdoor fabrics, especially those exposed to weather or not kept under cover

Highly absorbent materials, such as linen or jute

Napped or pile fabrics, such as velvet, suede, or microfiber. Please refer to our care instructions for these materials before applying.

Still Not Sure?

Can I Use JILIEASE on My Fabric?

JILIEASE is a water based, non toxic fabric protector that is safe to use on most fabric or textile surfaces: cotton, suede, leather, synthetics, wool and silk to name a few. Different fabrics will require different amounts of product to be protected, please read ‘How do I know how much product to apply?’ to find out more.

Some precautions:

As some colour dyes are not colour fast, particularly rugs that are using vegetable dyes for example (usually vintage or handmade rugs), we recommend testing the surface in a small inconspicuous area for colour fastness prior to applying all over.

Please check to make sure the material you are wanting to treat is not “dry clean only”. Using a water based protector on dry clean only material can cause colour loss or fading, especially when there are natural dyes involved. It’s always best to check with the manufacturer if you are unsure of the care instructions.

If you have applied another fabric protector prior to using JILIEASE, please read ’Can I apply JILIEASE after applying another fabric protector?’.

Can I Apply JILIEASE After Using Another Fabric Protector?

If you have applied another fabric protector prior to using JILIEASE, we recommend waiting until the other protector has worn off, especially if using a mainstream stain guard such as Scotchgard or Guardsman. This is usually about 12 months after application. This is because these fabric protectors sit on top of the fabric and will prevent JILIEASE from bonding properly. Unlike these protectors, JILIEASE is formulated with nanotechnology and will get into the fabric, forming a much stronger and durable protective barrier that lasts up to 3 years.

Does JILIEASE Protect Against Oily Stains and Dirt Marks?

JILIEASE is primarily intended to repel liquid stains. It will certainly help cleaning oily stains (chocolate, tomato sauce, sunscreen etc) and dirt marks but we can’t guarantee that there will be no marks left. This is especially true when force is applied onto the fabric, i.e. fingers smudging chocolate all over your new couch. Please always use a light dabbing motion when trying to remove liquids from protected fabrics, trying to absorb the liquid or stains into a cloth, rather than scrubbing with force.

With JILIEASE, you are able to wash up to 30 washes and treat with a standard spot treatment as long as the pH levels of the cleaner are within 2-13. You can also steam clean the material as JILIEASE can withstand temperatures of up to 250 degrees celsius.

What Toxic Chemicals Should I Avoid When Comparing Fabric Protectors?

When comparing fabric protectors, one of the most important chemical groups to look out for is PFAS.

PFAS, or per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, are a group of synthetic chemicals that may be harmful to both human health and the environment. They are also commonly referred to as PFOA, PFOS, PFCs, fluorocarbons, or GenX chemicals.

PFAS are often found in traditional fabric protectors and stain repellents. These chemicals are known for being highly persistent, meaning they do not break down easily in the environment and can build up over time.

Studies have linked certain PFAS chemicals to potential health concerns involving the liver, thyroid, pancreas, and hormone function, as well as increased long-term health risks.

When choosing a fabric protector, we recommend looking for products that are PFAS-free, PFOA-free, PFOS-free, and fluorocarbon-free.

JILIEASE technology originates from China, and our products are made in China.

We are a family business based in Huizhou, Guangdong, with a focus on creating practical, reliable fabric protection solutions for everyday homes.

Why Are Nanotechnology Fabric Protectors Better Than Traditional Ones?

JILIEASE is a nanotechnology-based fabric protector, designed to bond more effectively with fabric fibers compared to many traditional stain guards.

Here are the key differences:

Longer-Lasting Protection

Traditional fabric protectors typically last around 12 months. JILIEASE can provide protection for up to 3 years when applied properly, making it a more cost-effective solution over time.

Better Bonding with Fabric

Many traditional protectors sit on top of the fabric surface. JILIEASE is designed to bond with the fabric fibers, helping create a more durable protective barrier.

Improved Resistance

Because JILIEASE bonds with the fibers, it is more resistant to everyday wear, abrasion, and UV exposure. This helps provide more consistent coverage and longer-lasting protection.

Water-Based and Non-Toxic

JILIEASE is a water-based, non-toxic formula. It does not release harsh toxic fumes during or after application, making it a safer choice for your home, your family, and the environment.

What Does “Water-Based Spray” Mean?

We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

Is JILIEASE Safe to Use for Allergy Sufferers?

JILIEASE is a non-toxic, odorless fabric protector, making it a great choice for households where sensitivity to strong smells or harsh chemicals is a concern.

Because every person’s sensitivities are different, we recommend reviewing the ingredient information before use, especially if you have known allergies or chemical sensitivities.
